The Delta Mod

New postby Tyrant Raptor King » Tue, 16th Jan 2007 21:57

This mod is pretty much far from finished, its got a few things to work out. For one thing, it replaces mountains and when you try to build a mountain, it won't let ya. And another thing is that you can't build many plants on it, so don't go flooding your island only making a spot for one hatchery on a peace of land and releasing many herbivores, for the lack of trees they will die.

Now to the mod. This is pretty simple, go into your Constant.ini and find the terraformmountain lines. Change everything under it to this:
Code: Select all
   TerraFormMountainLevel0Width =  100;
   TerraFormMountainLevel1Width =  1000;
   TerraFormMountainLevel2Width =  700000;
   TerraFormLakeLevel0Width =  35;
   TerraFormLakeLevel1Width =  50;
   TerraFormLakeLevel2Width =  65;
   TerraFormFlatLevel0Width =  50;
   TerraFormFlatLevel1Width =  85;
   TerraFormFlatLevel2Width =  120;
   TerraFormHillLevel0Width =  100;
   TerraFormHillLevel1Width =  800;
   TerraFormHillLevel2Width =  640000;

Nothing is done with terraform lake.

So, now go into your game and click the tab for mountains. When you do, you'll notice a flat stretch of squares. Put it over some water and click, then tada! A nice little peace of swamp or delta, which ever you prefer.

Like I said, I want to be able to make a separate build tab for it, but it won't be easy :\

I doubt it would be possible to add a new tab for it, but then again, in the future, who knows what may happen? *X-Files music*

If they ever release mod tools it could happen but Universal probly wont. Maybe we could all sign a peition and e-mail it too them?

There already is a petition and it'd require at least 15000 signatures. It's useless to even think on it

I would LOVE to sign that. Or, we could make a petition to ask BlueTounge, and Universal, and Vivendi to re-release JPOG in the format that it would've been in, with gates and hunting platforms, etc. That would be sweet.
